Will I always be a big fish in a little pond?
I know I’m just a guppy compared to the sharks in the ocean, but
the seaweed really is greener over there.
The ocean’s so colorful and fun.
Why can’t the pond be like that?
The other pond fish swim in straight lines.
A few of them zig-zag.
But I’m the only one who spirals and hops across the surface.
Hope is like an angler fish.
It’s bright and pretty, but it just leads to your death.
I don’t want to hop across the surface right now…
What’s the point? I’m a fish.
It’s not like I’ll be able to fly out of here
and to the ocean with my friends.
